Quality & Safety Assurance

Our Commitment to Quality and Safety

Quality and safety are at the centre of how Chemedic operates as a chemical supplier.

We understand that our products are used in environments where consistency, reliability and safe handling are critical – from production lines and laboratories to schools, hospitals and homes.

Our goal is simple:

to supply the right products, at the right quality, with the right information, so that our customers can use them with confidence.

ISO 9001:2015 Certified Quality Management

Chemedic’s quality management system is certified to ISO 9001:2015.

This certification covers key processes throughout our operation, including:
Supplier selection and evaluation
Purchasing and incoming goods inspection
Product identification, labelling and storage
Order processing and documentation
Picking, packing and delivery to customers
Handling of feedback and non-conformities

Regular audits and internal reviews help us maintain and improve these processes over time, so that product quality and service levels remain consistent.

How We Manage Product Quality

To support reliable supply and consistent performance, we focus on several key areas:

Supplier Evaluation and Monitoring

We work with established manufacturers and distributors, assessing them based on:

  • Product quality and consistency
  • Documentation and regulatory compliance
  • Delivery reliability and responsiveness

Suppliers are monitored on an ongoing basis to ensure they continue to meet our standards.

Product Identification and Traceability

Each product is clearly labelled and documented to enable:

  • Identification of product name and type
  • Batch or lot numbers for traceability
  • Grade and basic specifications where required

This helps customers track usage and supports investigations if any quality issues arise.

Storage and Handling in Our Warehouse

Within our warehouse, chemicals are stored according to their characteristics and hazard classifications.

We maintain:

  • Segregation of incompatible materials where applicable
  • Appropriate storage conditions based on product requirements
  • Clear labelling and signage in storage areas
  • Procedures for safe loading, unloading and internal handling

These practices help protect both our staff and the integrity of the products.

Chemical Safety & Handling

Working with chemicals requires attention to safety at every stage.

Chemedic supports safe use by combining proper documentation, labelling and guidance with internal procedures.

Safety Data Sheets (SDS) and Documentation

For hazardous products, Safety Data Sheets (SDS) are available upon request. Where applicable, Certificates of Analysis (COA) can also be provided.

These documents typically include information on:

  • Product composition and hazards
  • Recommended personal protective equipment (PPE)
  • Safe handling and storage
  • First-aid measures and emergency response
  • Disposal considerations

We encourage all customers to consult and follow the SDS before using any chemical product.

Labelling and Information

Products are supplied with labels that may include:

  • Product name and description
  • Hazard symbols and warnings where applicable
  • Handling or precautionary statements
  • Supplier identification and batch details

Clear labelling helps users identify products quickly and supports safe handling on-site.

Supporting Customers on Safe Use

While Chemedic does not replace a customer’s own safety management system, we can support by:

  • Providing SDS and basic product information
  • Clarifying typical uses and limitations of products
  • Highlighting general handling and storage considerations

Each customer remains responsible for conducting their own risk assessments, implementing appropriate control measures and ensuring compliance with local regulations.

Staff Training and Awareness

Our staff receive training relevant to their roles, including:
Basic chemical safety awareness
Proper handling and storage procedures
Use of PPE where required
Documentation, labelling and traceability practices

By ensuring that our team understands both product characteristics and safety requirements, we help reduce risks throughout the supply chain.

Continuous Improvement

Quality and safety are not one-time efforts. Chemedic is committed to continuous improvement by:

Reviewing customer feedback and addressing concerns promptly
Investigating non-conformities and implementing corrective actions
Updating procedures in line with regulatory changes and industry best practices
Monitoring key performance indicators related to quality and delivery

This approach supports more stable, dependable service for our customers over the long term.

Why Quality & Safety Matter to Our Customers

For many of our customers, chemicals are critical to daily operations. Consistent quality helps:

Maintain product specifications in manufacturing
Ensure reliable results in laboratory testing
Protect staff, students, patients and end users
Avoid disruptions, rework or safety incidents

By partnering with Chemedic, customers gain a supplier that treats quality and safety as core responsibilities – not optional extras.
